Wink Privacy Policy
Effective date: 18 July 2026
Wink is an adults-only service for creating profiles, discovering people, matching, messaging, and reporting safety concerns.
Data we process
- Account data: email address, password hash, birth date, and internal account ID.
- Profile data: display name, biography, locality, interests, languages, preferences, visibility, and privacy choices.
- User content: profile images and in-app messages.
- Safety data: blocks, reports, moderation outcomes, and security audit records.
- Consent and service data: advertising choices, product analytics choices, request identifiers, security events, and technical diagnostics.
- Advertising and device data: IP address, product interactions, diagnostics, device identifiers, and account identifiers may be processed by Google Mobile Ads when ads are enabled, subject to regional consent controls.
Purposes and sharing
We use data to operate the service, secure accounts, deliver matches and messages, moderate abuse, comply with law, measure reliability, and show advertising only when eligible and permitted. Infrastructure and advertising providers, including Google Cloud and Google Mobile Ads, may process data to deliver those services. We do not sell personal data.
Security and retention
Traffic uses HTTPS in production, credentials are stored as non-reversible password hashes, and access is restricted. Data is retained only while needed for the service, security, fraud prevention, legal duties, or an active deletion workflow.
Your choices
You can hide your profile, control advertising and analytics consent, block or report users, and permanently delete your account in the app. See the account deletion page for an external request path.
Where required, the app provides advertising privacy choices before requesting ads and makes those choices available again from Settings.
